Q: Why I can't wake up my Computer on Windows 7 or Server 2008 R2?
A: Enable "Allow wake timers" in the windows "advanced power settings" dialog.
Q: Why is hibernation mode not available?
A: Check if your computer supports the S4 power mode e.g. in Bios. In most cases hibernation has to be activated manually. In order to enable hibernation run the Windows Command Prompt as Administrator and type: "powercfg -h on".
Q: How do I use TimeComX as a portable application?
A: After installing TimeComX, copy the whole install directory to any place you like. For TimeComX Basic 1.3.x you need to create a text file (can be empty) named "portable.txt" in the root folder of TimeComX.
Q: How do I integrate TimeComX in the system start up?
A: There are two ways to obtain the result.
[1] Open the config dialog. Enable checkbox "load on system start-up". It will create a start up entry in your registry. Keep that in mind, if you want to remove TimeComX from your computer.
[2] Create a shortcut to TimeComX.exe file in the Startup folder: Windows Start Menu >> All Programs >> Startup. In order to start the process of TimeComX without pressing the start button manually, you have to append the command line parameter "-auto" in your shortcut.
Q: How to uninstall TimeComX?
A: Portable designed application like TimeComX does not affect your system registry and therefore it won't appear in the windows uninstaller. You can uninstall TimeComX easily via the "All programs" start menu >> TimeComX >> Uninstall. Alternatively you can delete the directory of TimeComX ( default install location: "C:\Program Files\TimeComX" ). If you are not happy with TimeComX, please let us know the reason, so we can improve it for you.
Q: How do I change the opacity or the stay on top behavior?
A: By right clicking on the background of TimeComX.
